Here we go, St. Patrick’s Day is around the corner!
Now, you must wear green or else you’ll get attacked by people who love pinching others!
OUCH! Am I right?
I try to at least wear some bit of green.
Because no, I don’t enjoy getting pinched, nor will I allow you to pinch me.
I’m not a grumpster, but really, pinches hurt.
And some people take it more seriously than others.
They live for pinching others.
But a quick fun fact, for those who don’t know why people pinch those who do not wear green on St. Patrick’s Day.
It exists because according to the legends revolving around the leprechaun, green makes one invisible to the mischievous fairies. Leprechauns are said to pinch anyone not wearing green.
Those that pinch us are only reminding us to wear green.
If I have this theory wrong please feel free to comment and correct me.
I’m here, more or less, to help you avoid the pinches on St. Patrick’s Day.
Here’s what you need to do if you can plan ahead:
Wear green
Simple.
Schedule that reminder on the 16th.
You are set.
But if you need help choosing things to wear that will help you stay pinch-free, here are a few ideas:
Shamrock Shades
I mean, nothing yells out St. Patrick’s Day then having something with a shamrock!
These shades will not only help you stay pinch-free but help you see the world in a different view.
You’ll have fun with these, and so will many people!
Of course, you’ll be safe with this hat.
Just don’t remove it from your head.
If you want your whole company and team to be safe, promotional hats are perfect for keeping them pinch-free.
They’ll definitely be thankful by the end of the day!
You can be safe with a basic t-shirt as long as it’s green.
You won’t have to worry about anyone pinching you all day.
Good job for planning ahead and wearing green on St. Patrick’s Day.
You’ve dodge yourself from all the pinches.
Here’s what you need to do if you’re not wearing green on St. Patrick’s Day:
Alright, so you go out and you end up realizing…oh-no! You’re not wearing green!
It happens to the best of us.
What do you do?
Stay calm, and in one place
Curl up in a ball and just stay there for the rest of the day.
I’m joking.
Just make sure you avoid anyone wearing green.
You see someone in green, you walk the other way.
Find something quick and stick it on
Anything!
You have green stickies?
Write “Green” on the green sticky and make sure it stays on you all day.
You don’t want to think you’re safe and realize the sticky fell off as you were about to enter the office again.
You’ll only find yourself getting pinched.
Make an excuse
Have green eyes, or maybe a green bruise?
Yup, that can work.
At least it has for me.
I tend to always tell people that my green eyes represents St. Patrick’s Day.
You’ll be surprised how many people will let you get away with it.
It works!
Fight back
I’m joking! Sort of.
If you’re close to the person, I think it’s okay to pinch them back and say “I’m not playing”.
Although it’s weird for a stranger to pinch you, I’m not sure what you can do in this situation.
I’ve never been pinched by a stranger.
Please keep yourself safe this St. Patrick’s Day and good luck! 🍀
